Water Project – Puttlam Dutugamunu Maha Vidyalaya

🌟 Bringing Clean Water to Puttlam Dutugamunu Maha Vidyalaya! 🌟

We are thrilled to announce a crucial initiative we’re undertaking at RIDMA Foundation. We received a request to establish a water filtration plant at Puttlam Dutugamunu Maha Vidyalaya. This school, with a student population of 300, serves a community where most parents make their living through agriculture and laboring.

The lack of access to clean drinking water is a significant issue at the school. Currently, the school purchases water distributed from “Kala Oya,” which, unfortunately, is not suitable for drinking. This has contributed to a high prevalence of kidney diseases in the area.

In response, RIDMA Foundation, in partnership with Nimsahana Sansandaya, Athurugiriya, has initiated a project to provide a water filtration system for the school. We are pleased to report that this project is currently in progress and nearing completion!

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Prasad Kumarasinghe and Dr. Priyanthi Kumarasinghe for fully funding this vital project. Your generosity is making a profound difference in the lives of these students and their community.
